Kinta

Kinta never really understood the seasons, but she could be certain of one thing: things were about to get a lot easier now that summer was finally passing. She'd nearly died during a particularly hot day when she got caught in the sunlight--and if it hadn't been for the passing Na"em wolf, she wasn't sure how she would've made it back to the camp. The more she thought about it, the more she missed him. She wasn't sure what to do, now that her pack was gone. She wanted nothing to do with the brutish cult left in its place.

She now padded along quietly in the evening light, pausing to lift her head and enjoy the feeling of the breeze in the fur along her neck. She waved her tail and then shook out her pelt, observing the plains and the woods ahead. She looked up to see clouds gathering near the horizon, though she thought nothing of them and sat in place to wash her paws.

WoLF: Angel Medallion by XKuonjiX

The monochrome male wolf padded along quietly. Observing the area around him as he continued, onwards, almost aimlessly. As if he had lost his sense of direction, or just generally lost his sense. Though of course, that wasn't the case. His white gaze stared ahead of him, as he kept walking, though briefly stopping as a particularly hard breeze went by, causing the long fur that made out his 'mane' and cheek fur to wave almost aggressively in the wind.

Normally, he wouldn't be bothered by it, but at this time, ha allowed himself to raise his head up higher, squinting and briefly looking in the direction that the wind came from. Almost being forced to completely close his eyes as he did so. This quickly prompted him to turn and look ahead of him again, ignoring as the wind started again, and how his fur once again waved so much. With a near impossible to hear mumble, he started walking again.

As he got further, he spotted someone. Even from the somewhat of a distance between them, the other wolf was smaller, as well as entirely white. Briefly the thoughts of another light pelted wolf jumped to his mind, but he quickly dismissed it, and allowed himself to get nearer, as if his curiosity had suddenly been piqued, and as if he no longer paid attention to the clouds collecting, threatening with an upcoming storm.

Kinta

The white wolf gave a heavy breath of boredom, already full on an easily-caught rabbit and not particularly tired just yet. She'd need to find a place to stay for the night--maybe permanently if no other packs seemed to be in the area. She hated changing from one place to the next on a nightly basis.

She stopped letting her thoughts wander as she smelled another wolf nearby. She didn't stand, though she looked around and caught sight of a much darker wolf within shouting distance. She now stood and lifted her head, narrowing her eyes slightly. He didn't smell like any pack, and if he was after her for space, he'd have to fight her. She wouldn't jump to conclusions, but she was ready, flexing her toes and sneering.

WoLF: Angel Medallion by XKuonjiX

He allowed his gaze to rest on her, and stopped once he decided that he was close enough. Perhaps partially because of the female's sneering. At this he raised his head, and cocked a brow, before pulling on a smile as he lowered his head, now once again holding it parallel to his back and shoulders. "Now now," He started, but remained where he was.

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves and do something we both know we'd regret." He started out, still allowing his white gaze to rest on her. He still kept the distance that was currently between them, clearly not interested in trying his luck, even if he could possibly do well against her. Considering their difference in size, and possibly strength.

As far as he was concerned, he had enough scars as it was already, and was in no way interested in gaining more. "Who might you be, if you don't mind me asking?" He allowed himself to ask, briefly closing his eyes as yet another harsh blow of wind hit. As soon as it was over, however, he opened his eyes again, to once more let his gaze rest on her.

Kinta

Kinta didn't move from her place even as the male came closer, standing her ground without wavering. "Hm," she responded. "You're awfully confident for a wolf who looks like he's lost a few fights." Her tail swished again as she sized him up: she was much shorter, but she knew she could use that to her advantage if it came to a fight. She looked over his scars curiously, glad that she didn't have any to flaw her clean pelt.

She hesitated as she felt the gust of wind, shuddering once as it whipped through her fur. "Kinta," she answered curtly. "Once of Howahkan." She held her gaze steady but had to tilt her head just slightly to keep from looking away. "Now a roamer," she continued.

"And what about you?" she asked without softening her tone or her demeanor, sounding a bit unimpressed and certainly not trusting. She cast another look at the gathering clouds and shook out her white pelt again against the chilly breeze.

WoLF: Angel Medallion by XKuonjiX

His gaze rested on the smaller female, awaiting her response. Baring his teeth in a smug grin as she finally did respond, and even commented on his confidence. "Being confident isn't always a bad thing, you know?" He said, before licking his teeth, making mental notes of everything she did.

His ears perked up despite the harsh winds that were coming in more frequently. Listening intently as she told who she was. Howahkan. He thought to himself. He'd heard of that pack before, but seemed surprised at what he was now hearing. It disbanded? It wasn't much, but enough to intrigue the monochrome wolf's curiousity.

As she turned the question back to him, he raised his head a little, while still having a smug grin. "Angel. A long time loner." He responded, in an almost similar manner as her. He didn't have to tell much more, as there was not much more to it than that. He'd been a loner for most of his life afterall, so that was as much as there was to it.

Kinta

She flicked her ear and gave a shrug. Confidence wasn't always a good thing either. Her tail gave a quick swish, and she shuddered as a more violent wind whipped through her short pelt. She turned more nervously to where the clouds seemed to cover the sky, thinking about taking shelter--but she wouldn't turn her back on a wolf like this.

She furrowed her brow at his pride and stood a little taller as if it'd make her look any less short compared to his size. "And how's that been working out for you?" she asked, shifting her weight.

WoLF: Angel Medallion by XKuonjiX

He watched her, her every move, tilting his head just minimalle as she shrugged. He took note of her soon nervous behavior, narrowing his eyes just minimally, allowing himself to step further, doing a short flickering motion with his bushy tail.

He stopped after having shortened the distance between them, clearly not scared of her, though he was ready to dodge, should she attack him for getting closer. He huffed as she asked. "Better than it does for other loners." He replied. It wasn't exactly a lie, concidering how some loners tended to look less cared for, perhaps a bit thinner than what was good for them, Angel did not look like he suffered from the life of a loner. As another gust of wind whipped by, grabbing hold of his fur once more, he was just reminded of the severity the storm seemed to be taking on. Prompting him to briefly look around, before returning his gaze to her.

Kinta

Kinta narrowed her gaze as he stepped closer, now turning her ears back and baring her front teeth to him warningly. She again took notice of the different ways she ought to be able to attack him without getting utterly defeated, most importantly her small size advantage and agility. If he took another step, she decided she'd make the first move.

In the meantime, she responded in a harder tone, "What, did you get kicked out by your pack?" She stood her ground more strongly, despite that the wind now felt like it could knock her over.

WoLF: Angel Medallion by XKuonjiX

He chuckled lightly as she bared her front teeth at him, in a dislay of warning. It humored him mildly, and his smug grin remained, well, at least until she spoke again, this time earning her a snort from the large male. "So what if I did?" He replied, before allowing himself to begin circling her. It was a long time ago anyway. He thought to himself.

Calculating, not once taking his gaze off her. He bared his teeth again, though in less of a grin this time. What she might be thinking of his response, did not interest him at this moment. He narrowed his eyes once more, waiting, before making a sudden pounce at her. Intending to knock her down, should she not avoid him.

Kinta

As he seemed to find her warning gesture amusing, she punctuated her snarl with a sharp growl, turning in time with him so he never went out of her line of sight. She took a more defensive posture and bristled the fur on her neck, muzzle wrinkling into a full snarl when she noticed him do the same.

She flinched as she heard thunder boom loudly nearby, caught off-guard by his sudden attack. Having no brawn to compare to his, she easily collapsed and rolled to her side, letting out a loud, sharp bark once she realized what was happening. "Back off," she snapped, tail lashing as she lunged forward to snap her jaws at him wherever she could reach.

WoLF: Angel Medallion by XKuonjiX

He kept his gaze locked on her as she rolled onto her side. She was quick to get up though, making the male snort in annoyance, quickly baring his teeth at her again, watching and making notes, as if he was calculating her next move. "What fun would there be to that," He began, but was cut off as she lunged to attack him. In a quick motion he jumped to the side, just barely to dodge her attack.

Recieving a small hit none the less, but nothing that bothered him. In fact, he didn't even seem to take notice of it, but instead quickly returned the attack, with a loud growl. With his jaws open, and ready to clamp down on whichever part of her he'd catch, was she not fast enough to avoid his attack.

Kinta

Kinta stood quickly and lashed her tail again, taken by surprise at his agility. She'd badly misjudged his speed, though she felt her teeth scrape through his fur to his skin. She gave another hard growl and lunged backward--she barely missed his teeth clamping onto her neck but felt them scrape across her cheek, leaving a hard sting in their place.

Without hesitation, she rushed at him again and dove for his legs this time, knowing that no matter how hard she tried, she wouldn't be able to win with power alone. She aimed for his hinds in hopes to unbalance him and give her some kind of advantage.

WoLF: Angel Medallion by XKuonjiX

He narrowed his eyes as she jumped back, in an attempt to avoid him. She succeeded rather well, or, well.. It quickly became clear to him that a minimal hit had been landed on her anyway. However, he didn't have much time to launch another attack at her, before she lunged at him again, though this time for his leg. Hind legs to be precise.

Yet again he did a jump to dodge, though he appeared a bit too late this particular time, and felt her jaws close around his left hindleg. He quickly whipped his head in her direction, with a mix of both surprise and anger gleaming through his eyes. Yet instead of trying to just forcefully pulling his leg to have it released from her maw, he decided to kick at her, with his free hindleg. Hopefully landing a hard enough blow to have her let go, before turning as much as his body allowed for him to bite at her again.

Kinta

As she felt her jaws clamp onto his leg successfully, she held on tightly and snarled loudly. Ignoring the sting in her cheek, she didn't notice him ready to kick her until his paw forcefully hit her face and she lost concentration, jaws opening at the last minute to free him again.

Before she had a chance to counter him and get back on her feet, she let out a loud, sharp whine as she felt him bite into her neck. She staggered as she felt the tickle of blood in her fur, and her hinds caved immediately though she struggled to free herself, craning her neck to snap at any part of him she could reach from where he was holding her,

WoLF: Angel Medallion by XKuonjiX

His plan worked, perhaps even better than he first thought it would, and this time, he managed to get a good hold of her. His teeth almost effortlessly finding their way through her fur, cutting into the skin beneath. At her struggle, he minimally tightened his grip, and then put pressure on his upper jaw, and further downto her neck.

Regardless of how it seemed, he wasn't trying to kill her. Rather, he was trying to force her to lie down, even more as her hinds caved. He seemed to bear little concern as she almost frantically snapped at him, after craning her head as much as it was allowed in this current situation, to try and get back at him. At most, Angel turned his ears back, to be sure to keep them out of reach. He appeared to pay little mind or interest to whether or not whe were to get hold of anything else. With his thick fur, he had an advantage at that, anyway. Continueing his attempts at forcing her down, he let out a loud growl, throug teeth and fur.

Kinta

Kinta felt his jaws tighten and whimpered again, struggling to keep her footing while he pushed down on her. The longer she pushed back, the harder she felt his teeth digging into her skin and the stronger the pain felt.

She finally gave in and flattened her forelegs to the ground, folded beside her as his breath felt hot on her neck. She didn't bark at him nor growl in defiance, tail tucked beside her hinds as there was nothing else she could do. She now felt cold splatters of rain assaulting her pelt where he wasn't standing over her, shuddering at another violent gust of wind.

WoLF: Angel Medallion by XKuonjiX

It didn't seem to take long, before the female finally gave up, submitted to his power and lay down. He held her like this, while placing one of his large front paws on her shoulder, pushing down on her, letting her know not to try anything before gradually releasing his grip. At first he seemed to ignore the rain, at least for as long as he could, now locking his eyes towards hers.

As the rain got worse, and the violent gusts of wind became more frequent, a glimpse of consideration crept upon his face. Digging his claws lightly into her shoulder as his thoughts and ideas raced through his mind. At first, it seemed fitting to injure her further, to leave her in the storm, but just as he was about to take another bite into her, another thought came into his mind. Stopping his bite just inches from the female, before a grin now crept across his maw, baring his teeth once again, even giving away how some of them were stained with blood.

Immediately he whipped his head and his gaze towards hers again, then almost mockingly nuzzled his muzzle into her cheek fur, before stopping the act as he reached her ear. "Listen closely, cause I will only say this once." He started, his tone smooth and almost eeriely calm. "I am going to spare your life and save you from the storm, but-" He pressed down on her further. "You will from this very moment be in debt to me. Understood?" He said, the last in a much harder tone than before. He didn't appear to be releasing her entirely, until after he was sure she understood what she had just been told, and until he was sure she would do nothing foolish, as picking up the fight again.

Kinta

Kinta flinched as he didn't seem to want to let her go even as she gave in, shifting her weight uncomfortably as she felt the blood trickle down the sides of her neck to her throat. As he let go, she caught her breath and flattened her ears, wincing at his paw pushing down between her shoulders.

She as he looked down at her, she looked back fiercely until he dug his claws in and she again flinched--as he neared her to bite again, it was clear he just wanted to see her powerless and hurting. She shuddered indignantly at his mockingly affectionate gesture and spoke by her ear. She lashed her tail once and, despite that she wanted to show him she wasn't done fighting yet, gave only a nod in response. Debt. Just hearing him say it made her angry, but she had no other choice as the storm was worsening and she was hurt. She wasn't even sure how well she'd be able to walk.

WoLF: Angel Medallion by XKuonjiX

He waited patiently and as she nodded, indicating she understood her situation, he stepped away from her, granting her the opportunity to get up. Waiting for a moment, before turning away and starting to walk. Stopping only moments after, to look back at her, as to see whether she was able to follow on her own, or if he'd have to drag or carry her.

"Can you walk on your own or must you be carried or dragged to safety?" He said after a moment, his tone somewhat calm, but with a none the less impatient subtone in his voice. After all, the storm was getting wrose by every minute. Even his own thick fur was almost completely soaked by the rain at the point. The good thing being how it washed away what was there of blood from their fight.

Kinta

She hesitated as he stepped away, making sure he wasn't ready to attack her again as soon as she stood up. She grunted at the hard sting in her neck and her cheek, staggering onto her paws and shivering in the cold rain and wind. She needed to take cover and deal with her injuries.

Hearing him speak out, she narrowed her eyes and took a couple experimental steps. Her shoulders hurt, but she could make it. "I'm fine," she snapped, walking a bit lopsided though unwilling to accept help from him like she'd accepted it from the much nicer male. She pinned her ears back as she stepped up beside him, shaking her pelt as the rain stung her wounds.

WoLF: Angel Medallion by XKuonjiX

He watched her as he managed to get on her paws, staggering though it was, and he watched her as she began walking, even though she was clearly lopsided in her gait. As she refused his offer, he rolled his eyes. Suit yourself. He thought to himself, before looking ahead and then starting to walk again.

Though he was walking faster than her, much less bothered by the bites she had managed to land on him, even the bite on his hindleg didn't seem to bother him or hinder his gait. As if the pain was non existing to him. "Try to keep up." He replied, oudly through the violent gusts of wind and the harsh fall of rain. He seemed focused, apparently knowing exactly where to go, to find shelter for both of them.

After some extended time of walking, mainly because of the slightly lowered speed to make sure the female could keep up despite her injuries, they reached a rather sizeable den, luckily in such a placement that rain wouldn't trinkle inside, and the wind wouldn't blow in either. The only scent there, was Angel's. Clearly he had been using the den for the past few days, and he now whipped his head in her direction. "In." He commanded her, and waited until she had gotten in, before shaking his fur, to be rid of as much of the water as possible, before entering the den himself. However, staying near the entrance, laying down and shifting his weight, so that he was partially on his side.

Like this he would be allowed to keep an eye on the female, whilst making sure no one and nothing would be interrupting, for as long as they'd have to wait here. He decided to let his ears be what kept track of the female and what she was doing, while he watched as the storm still worsened outside the den. Quite crazy, nearing insanely, if he should say so himself.

Kinta

Kinta didn't take her gaze off him even as he started forward, left with no choice but to follow him--she assumed he knew where shelter was. She was in the weaker position, a new loner and now injured. So she padded after him as quickly as she could despite her limp.

She responded to his comment with a sharp growl and picked up her pace, flinching at the strain on her shoulders and the sting of the water in her wounds. As they approached the den, she stopped as he did and turned to snap as he spoke, "Don't tell me what to do." Though it was foolish, since she went inside almost immediately after. She took no care in trying to shake out her pelt beforehand, waiting until she was safely inside before drying out her pelt. She watched him settle in front and furrowed her brow--did he intend to keep her around until she'd repaid the debt? She splayed her legs out to the side and laid down in the back, realizing that she couldn't reach the bite to clean off. She set her head on her paws instead and went silent again, stoically ignoring the sting.

WoLF: Angel Medallion by XKuonjiX

Ignoring her as she told him not to command with her, he kept his gaze on the storm. Perhaps wondering what had caused such a violent storm to start, to begin with. Even for this season, it seemed unlikely. The silence remained between them, and it wasn't until a while after, that he finally turned his head to look at her.

Crossing his front paws in front of him, and calmly placing his head on top of them. Yes, even as he lay down like this, he seemed big, all thanks to the fur, even if it was still quite soaked  from the rain he had been unable to get rid of. "You should get some rest." He said, still with his gaze resting on her, and a smug grin showing on his maw. "it doesn't seem like the storm is gonna pass any time soon." He added. Not that he would be likely to just let her leave once the storm ended, but he said nothing about that. Not yet anyway.

Kinta

The white she-wolf rolled her eyes at his suggestion. "Yeah, yeah," she said in a hardened tone, looking back when she felt his gaze on her. Her expression was cold and she stared back fiercely for several moments before again looking away.

It was true: the storm didn't show any signs of stopping. She was tired, too. It was still late evening, after all--probably nighttime by now. She gave a yawn and shifted her paws before laying her jaw across them again, splaying her legs out further though still watching Angel carefully. She didn't trust him to leave her alone while she slept. She growled, "You'll be missing an ear if you touch me before the storm ends."

WoLF: Angel Medallion by XKuonjiX

He chuckled at her threat. Not that he was intending on trying anything as of yet. After all, he had her where he wanted her. She was in debt to him, for sparing her life and even saving her from the storm. He didn't need to bother her more at this particular moment.

"Just rest up." He repeated. He didn't feel the need to warn her that he'd find her if she wandered off before he himself would wake up, would he truly fall asleep. She wouldn't be likely to get past him and through the exit of the den anyway, at least not without waking him or t least catching his attention again. He wated for her to fall asleep, before closing his eyes to rest, though not quite sleep himself. No, he had to remain alert. That was all that was left for him to do at this point.

Kinta

Kinta rolled her eyes again and turned her head to face the opposite direction, tucking one paw under her sore chest as she now decided to relax. She was apparently indebted to him, after all, and he certainly wouldn't want her cut-up any more than she already was. She didn't respond to him, closing her eyes gently and breathing out a long huff. It didn't take long for her to doze off restlessly, finally ignoring the sting and falling asleep.

WoLF: Angel Medallion by XKuonjiX

As he heard her finally relaxing, he briefly opened his eyes to look at her, before huffing and closing his eyes again. Continueing his own rest, as they awaited the passing of the storm, that was all.
